Located in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa is the small town of Peki. Peki was once the heart of the vibrant Ewe civilization, but has now been experiencing an economic depression for around 50 years! Our mission team is composed of members of Episcopal, United Methodist, and Presbyterian churches. We are dedicated to bringing hope to the people of Peki. The Peki Church
- • The new building will become a community center and gathering place used throughout the week.
- • The Peki Methodist school educates children from kindergarten to the 10th grade, providing the stepping stones to a brighter future.
- • Children are baptized in the church and brought up learning the faith in Sunday school.
- • New converts are welcomed into the Christian community and instructed in the faith.
- • Families are strengthened as they worship, learn, and work together in the church.
- • Those in poverty find their needs met by the community. The church cares for those who are ill or elderly.
- • Those who have moved from Peki have a “mother church” that welcomes them home. And when one passes away, it is at the church that life is celebrated as one is welcomed to eternal life.
